Paving Sydney

Your Sydney paving options

You’ve probably found yourself eyeing off the different types of pavers in use around Sydney if you’ve been considering an upgrade to your driveway, patio, or poolside area on your Sydney property.

You’re also probably wondering how do you know which paver is right for your project? What follows are a few of our favourite paving materials, and why they will make a great choice.

Stone pavers

Stone pavers are mined from a quarry, so they are usually your most expensive, but incredibly attractive option.

High traffic areas are an excellent location for stone pavers. If you have the budget, the smooth finish and natural textures of stone pavers can add an extra layer of luxury and sophistication to any outdoor area, especially the poolside.

Granite, limestone, marble, bluestone, slate, and flagstone are popular choices in stone pavers. They all have different properties, so some may not be the best choice for certain areas. For example, marble isn’t the best choice for a driveway, but the inherent in strength in granite will ensure your driveway looks great for many years.

Brick pavers

Brick pavers have been in use for centuries and are still an excellent paving solution today. If you’re after a particular colour, then brick pavers offer a wide choice in colours and shades.

Brick pavers are created from clay and shale and so are hard wearing and durable. You can use brick pavers just about anywhere you need pavers, such as driveways, patios, and pool areas.

Concrete pavers

Concrete pavers also offer a vast selection of colours because all it takes to get the desired shade is to use the right dye.

Concrete pavers are an affordable option for driveways, but their colour can fade so may not be the best choice for your poolside area.
